Winter tips for staying healthy and safe

It’s that time of year again when the sidewalks are slick, the weather changes from warm to frigid and people are coughing and sneezing. If you’re considering hibernating until spring, Rolla Presbyterian Manor has some tips to help you survive the winter and keep active.

Alycia Maasen, physical therapist with Aegis Therapies®, will offer tips winter health and safety tips in a free presentation at Rolla Presbyterian Manor at 2 p.m. January 8.

Maasen will share tips for dressing for the weather, staying hydrated, keeping the immune system strong and decreasing the risk of falls.

“Winter Health and Safety Tips” will begin at 2 p.m. January 8 at Rolla Presbyterian Manor, 1200 Homelife Plaza, Rolla.

The talk is a partnership between Presbyterian Manor and Aegis Therapies and is part of Rolla Presbyterian Manor’s Just Ask series, a free, ongoing lifelong learning program featuring information from local, regional and national experts on topics of interest to older adults and their families.
